I was inspired to write about this when looking back and seeing that a church is only as large as the impact that it makes. A large church with inactive saints is about as effective as taking your car to a car repair shop where resides well dressed, well equipped bakers.
That may seem strange but outlining the pulpit is a pop culture know how of Christian steps to success that are not biblical and play no part in betterment of the Gospel but more navel gazing for the church to see just how beautiful of a presentation can be made in the name of Jesus. Indeed for the spark and flare this is a great thing. To be theatrical can sometimes get you some air play but in the end what will be done is Christ and the Salvation will become a show and even step further from the reality of realization that it so needs. The task of talking people out of their religious relationships and into one with depth and meaning has become a task but the church itself has made the nativity show so captivating and so fake that the relationship itself has become a reflecting of cheap jewelry and modern popcorn Christianity. Minus the saints, idols, incense and chants we are not far from a cult and further from the cross than ever.
The Solution Ravenhill states and my spirit confirms is a church not divided by denomination, name or preference bit united in the truth of the Gospel. Willing and ready to sacrifice what they feel is right and what they have encaptured their desire, heart and soul with a release it with abandon. A Short entry but one needed in desperate times. God is moving. Are you moving with him or against him.
In what battle do soldiers take up their own arms against their brothers. We must unite to effect. We must endure not reject the promise and the direction God has the Church going. The body united with purpose and sacrificial abandonment to the commander in chief.
If you do this. There is never been a small church there will never be. The impact will be great and the realization will turn millions from a life of eternal fire.
